Class Description

This course is a forum for currently serving elders in local congregations of Churches of Christ who desire to grow in their work as an elder through dialogue with other men serving in the same capacity.

The format will include a monthly discussion

of Biblical Eldership, the classic book by Alexander Strauch.  This book calls churches to a vigorous embrace of the leadership model of the New Testament.  Each meeting will also stimulate meaningful discussions of current issues impacting elderships and help connect Shepherds with one another from multiple congregations.

The vision of the course is face-to-face, in-person meetings conducted at various locations throughout the Willamette Valley and facilitated by different shepherds participating in this forum.
