The Message of the New Testament
Dates and Times: Tuesdays 2-4:30pm; January 6 – March 17, 2026

Class Description:
The Message of the New Testament explores the big picture of the New Testament, classic
introductory and thematic issues of the New Testament, and dives into several specific topics of
particular importance for Christian doctrine and practice.
Students should have an ESV Study Bible and a copy of George G. Guthrie, Read the Bible For
Life: Your Guide for Understanding and Living God’s Word (2011).

Personal Evangelism
Dates and Times: Wednesdays, 10:00-11:50am; January 7 – March 18, 2026
Location: Southwest Church of Christ, Fellowship Hall
Teacher: Barry Galindo
Cost: $30 recommended donation
Course Description:
This course is a personal Evangelism course that equips students to study
the Bible with people who need to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Specially, students
will learn how to introduce people to Jesus through a study of Mark’s Gospel. The class will
also feature two other seasoned evangelists as guest teachers on several nights of the class.
World Religions (MISS 3513)

Cost:This is an accredited college course with fees. Students can audit the course or take it for college credit. If auditing there is no assessment (quizzes, tests, papers, etc) or credit earned. The audit fee is $45. If taken for credit, there is assessment, a grade is assigned, and three college credits are earned. The credit fee is $60.

Course Description: This course is accredited through a special arrangement with Oklahoma Christian University. The course is “A comparative study of the beliefs and practices, as well as the historical and sociological impact, of several of the world’s principal religious traditions. These include indigenous traditions, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Shinto. Fulfills the core curriculum non-Western civilization requirement.”

Old Testament Wisdom Books (BIBL 3613)

Class Description:
This course is accredited through a special arrangement with Oklahoma
Christian University. This course examines the wisdom and poetic literature of ancient Israel.
Books include Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.

Sing a New Song!
​
Dates and Times: 7-8pm, Wednesday Nights – (January 7 – March 18, 2026)

Location: Various Churches in the Portland Area (SW, Metro, Mallory, Hazel Dell, Eastside). See schedule for exact dates.

Course Description: Sing a New Song! is a creative Northwest School of Discipleship course designed to encourage churches in the Portland area through evenings of robust spiritual singing and fellowship. The class is open to all ages and aims to teach new songs to the churches, enhance fellowship between congregations, and connect Project Antioch students with a broad range of Christians in the Portland Metro Area.
The focus of the Spring 2026 Sing a New Song is to develop and encourage the speaking and worship leading skills of the young men in Project Antioch. Each night a different Project Antioch student or NWSD staff members will offer a Biblical message from the Psalms. Prior to and after the message will be singing related to the theme for the night. We will also learn several new songs during the term.
